MARSEILLE ON FILM

Quite honestly, Marseille is my new fave place. There’s just something so magical about it…

It felt like an updated, better version of Barcelona (another place I adore). The food scene is incredible, the culture is palpable and the beaches look like they’ve been plucked from a Slim Aarons photo. Everywhere you look there is street art and graffiti, which adds to the charm. It feels so vibrant and young, so unlike the rest of south of France. A breath of fresh air!

Don’t get me wrong, you need to have your wits about you just like any other big city, but its a small trade off for me.

We spent our days wondering around the city, drinking coffee, eating incredible food and then going vintage shopping. Then in the afternoon we’d take a short cab to Les Goudes which is a quiet fishing village with incredible beaches and rocks to explore.
